The Change Africa Foundation initiative has from the beginning been aimed at addressing the plight of widows, orphans and other young people affected, or infected, by HIV/AIDS.  Beyond dealing with the devastating effects of the disease itself, CAF aims to help alleviate poverty and sickness, promote good health and the chance of better education for people in disadvantaged communities.

 

2011/2012 projects

  • Project Objectives
    To relieve poverty and sickness,preserve,and protect good health and advance education for the public benefit for people in remote village in Kisumu Western Kenya.
    Volunteers-Role
    Volunteers are of a enermous support to Caf's orphanages home/community centre,in Kisumu Western Kenya.
    Volunteers covers the following areas:
    Assisting the orphans,street kids,homeless,sick children in Kisumu area.
    Volunteers help to provide care,education and give the childrens love and comfort they are longing for.
    Volunteers aids also to increase awareness and educate the orphanages home/community centre in all areas relating HIV/AIDS
    Supporting youth issue in lessons and activities
    Helping in English learning through and acting as a asssitant in where appropriate to the community.

Kenya / African Food Night 23rd May 2009
Liz is organizing an event on Saturday 23rd May 2009 at her pub, The Chelsfield in Orpington. We’re raising money by cooking Kenya/African food, (delicious, as you probably know!). It would be wonderful if you could join us.
